A large church is not one of Tapestry’s goals. In fact, due to or focus and commitment to relationships, our congregational goal numerically is 150. When the church reaches 150 our goal is to start another congregation that will meet and grow to 150. They will then multiply and start another group.
We feel like this is an important part of our dynamic because it has been proven that the largest group of people that can maintain meaningful relationships is 150 and our foundation for this ministry is based in relationships.
There will be an ongoing and intentional training within each congregation to develop a core team that will lead the next group. This is an exciting and Biblical method of developing and perpetuating the kingdom of God through intentional multiplication.
