How We Do Things

Tapestry is committed to introducing our friends, families and community to Jesus Christ and building relationships with people.

Congregational Ministry

Coming together in a congregational setting is a great way to celebrate what God is doing in and through our community of believers. Beginning March 7, 2010, we will gather on a weekly basis to worship together, encourage the body and celebrate Christ.

Relational Ministry

A. Our Small Groups meets weekly on Monday evenings. We’ve actually had to call it Big Small Group due to the increase of people who love to come to read and talk. Our Small Group is basically a book club where we read through a spiritually based book together and have meaningful dialogue about the writing. The Wilsons have hosted this group in their home for over two years and it has grown not just in number, but in depth.

B. Open Bible Study will begin meeting on March 7, 2010 prior to our worship service. We will also meet at various times through the week to educate people about the Bible and its core principles. This is a question and answer session with a verse to verse approach through the scriptures.

C. Progressive discipleship is a method of teaching/mentoring that teaches core principles of Christianity with the goal of progressing new believers from a place of Biblical ignorance to a place of knowledge and empowerment to be employed in God’s kingdom. This is an individual/small group style of teaching session that will be held at various times according to participant’s needs and availability. We are committed to helping people become disciples of Jesus Christ.

Youth Ministry
We are excited about youth at Tapestry. We will be kicking off a youth service in the Loft  in March, we’re working on figuring out the most effective night and time for this session. We will also begin a youth Bible study on March 7, 2010 prior to our worship service. We will just dig through scripture verse by verse and ask a lot of questions and let the Bible give us the answers.
